Ministers Wives

Nicolette has just accepted a marriage proposal from the love of her life, Minister Jeremy Jeffers. The sparkle of the ring, the butterflies in the stomach, the rat a tat tat of her beating heart had her whole being infused with joy. This was the happiest day of her entire life; at least, for an hour. After Jeremy left, she suddenly began worrying if she could actually be a minister’s wife. Ministers’ wives had to be perfect, didn’t they And how many stories had she heard of unfaithful husbands and how female congregants would throw themselves at them? Would she ever see him, or would he always be at the church? Could she actually live in a world where all of her actions were under a microscope? Church secretary willingly gave her the information, assuming if she knew of the group, she must be a minister’s wife from one of the other churches. Nicolette determined then and there, she would be there, but she would sit in the shadows and listen for an hour or so to determine if she could handle the position. Nicolette sneaked in and sat behind a curtain separating her from the main area where the women were gathering. She prepared to just get a general idea and then she would have answers. Nicolette had no idea that what she was about to hear would infuse her with confusion, encouragement, shock, compassion and ultimately, her own answer about her upcoming union with her darling fiancée. When The Answer is No

A book that primarily focuses on when God’s response to our prayer request is simply no! It is written from the first-hand perspective of a grieving widower Mickey, working his way through his journey of grief both prior to and after the death of his wife Mary. He, along with his family and literally thousands of people prayed for Mary to be healed from duodenal cancer, but it was not to be! ‘WHEN THE ANSWER IS NO’ is a book about hope when we experience those “when the rubber hits the road” moments or seasons in life. That we can and should be rejoicing and proclaiming God’s sovereignty in those moments or seasons as often or even more so than when on the mountaintop. Even in the moment of losing a loved one to death!
Even though through Christ we are capable of rejoicing regardless of the circumstance; this does not remove the pain that we endure especially when we lose a loved one to death. It is okay to grieve! It is suggested that grieving is necessary for God to heal and restore you for the plans that He has prepared for you. It is the hope and prayer that whoever is inspired by the Holy Spirit to read this book will receive a fresh breath of life from our Creator! To fulfill the desires of your heart that he has planned for you. Remember, there is life after the death of a loved one and that more abundantly because of our victory in Jesus, even WHEN THE ANSWER IS NO!!!
